I love Christmas and this is one of my three Christmas Cards designs I'll be making this year! Doesn't it just put a smile on your face, an autographed photo of Santa. Any Santa fan would love to have one of these. The base card is smooth white card stock with a red frame. I decorated the frame with dots of white enamel. And the picture of Santa, of course, in his workshop doing his magic!. The photo is also signed "Love, Santa." The ribbon is string ribbon which gives the bow and the card a bit of whismy. When you open it upon the inside says "Hurry Down the Chimney Tonight!". Yes, you got it right, the song was my inspiration! I just love it when something puts a smile on a person's face. I think this one will do the trick! Anyone interested in ordering this card for their holiday season, just contact me below or at my e-mail address: readngadventures@sbcglobal.net. The price is 12 Cards and envelopes for $24.00. Shipping is additional and only actual cost. All card sets will be delivered or shipped by November 15, 2010. Packaging is a bubble mailer. I accept PayPal. Stay tuned, two more cards coming up soon! Thanks for visiting, Annette

Why Can't We Be Friends!
I've entitled today's blog after a song! You know when you sit down to work on something you usually have a design in your head. I tried several different ideas with this current paper, which just gave me fits to figure out. However, after visiting with my sister, Sandra, I was provided with great inspiration with this very busy paper. Thank you Sandra. I appreciate you so much!
The paper is very busy, blue, black, red, checked, birds, flowers, journaling lines. Very busy. But I think I managed, again thanks to my sister, to tame this paper into a perfect general occasion card, that would work for both men and women. It is a basic white card stock, with a flower designed base. Layered with two window pane papers and then a polka dot. The f has a little tag attached with the word "friend" stamped on it. Finally, in an attempt to bring home the look, a nice flourish for that extra touch. Not my usually bling, sparkle, flower, spritzed card. Not even what I would call shabby chic. Just a nice card you could give any friend, be it just because, birthday, or love.
This card kit is available through A Scrap and More for $3.00. If you prefer to have yours already made up, it is $4.25. Just let Ashley know if you want the kit (she'll mail them out) or if you want me to put it together and then mail it. The address and phone number is 820 Sycamore, Broken Arrow, OK. 918 872 9104. Finally, keep coming back. I'm posting my Christmas cards for this 2010 within the next two week.
Thanks for visiting. Leave me a message, I love to get them!

Goodbye to a Dear Friend
Surprise! I'm here twice in one week. Makes up for me missing last week don't you think? Well, I was asked to make my dear friend Crystal a going away card. See Crystal is moving to Minnesota (talk about jumping out of the frying pan onto an iceberg!). So, I had some great ideas. First -- bikini card with ice all over it (get it!) but that didn't fly with my consultant (Sharon). So, I decided I would do a sun with Tim Holtz embossing folder of Rays. Well, I make 3 attempts to get it right, and it just wouldn't work. Oh well, sometimes creative moments don't turn out just like you map it in your head. So, then I thought, well, what can I do next. I fumbled around my desk, drawers, box of goodies, plastic container of goods, bookshelves filled with goodies (and of course wished my sister lived close so I could raid her goodies!) and this is what I came up with, a chipboard card! I took pinstripe black paper, added two large chipboard flowers (they were white). Painted the petals as follows: Ranger pearlized white metal, ranger dried marigold around the center, and ranger worn lipstick on the petals. I gave it a faded striped look with a nib. Then I added the flourish as a stem and leaves. The flourish is red sparkle. Finally to trim it out, I added teal dew drops. Gives the card a smart look doesn't it. The inside is blank so people can say goodbye. But if my sun card had worked out it would have read "Our days won't be as bright without you". I'm still going to make that card and show it here, because it really is a neat idea. But, for Crystal, this unique card will just make her day. I'll really miss her. She is a good friend.

It has been almost 2 weeks since I updated this post. Unfortunately, I need to learn to take better photos, however, here are my card kits. These kits include everything you need to put a birthday card together. Denim paper and denim strip, painting already completed, bows pre-made. All you have to do is add glue and your own words to the inside of the card. All cards are blank on the inside. These kits run $3.00 each and come in a plastic sleeve and with their own envelope! Some envelopes are hand made with coordinating paper and others have white envelopes. Card Kits can be purchased at A Scrap and More, 820 N. Sycamore St., Broken Arrow, OK. If you want to purchase one and can't run by, give Ashley a call at 918 872 9104 and she will most likely work with you to get you one! Thanks again for looking at my two card kits. I appreciate your visit and hope that you will visit me again soon. I promise to work on my photography!
